Many NEVAC members take to the track (and field) in the summer and compete in the North East Masters Athletics Association's Track & Field League and Track & Field Championships.
Membership of the North East Masters (NEMAA) is only £20 per year and their League and Championship entry fees are very very inexpensive - £3 for a league meeting - for up to three events - and £5 for their Championships - for up to seventeen  events.! 
Members compete in five year age bands in a very low key (but competitive) friendly atmosphere and all levels of ability are made welcome.
